Cityscape Photography Workshops 2018

The Art of Cityscape Photography

Have you ever found yourself in front of a stunning scene and struggled to capture it as you envisioned?

After dedicating the past 4 years to photographing the most beautiful cities in the world, I am thrilled to announce that I will be teaching Workshops Worldwide!

Join me for a complete sunset shooting, and learn everything that goes around the creation an epic cityscape photograph.

Cities & Available Dates:

  • SINGAPORE: May 26th | May 27th

  • Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau & much more: to be announced.

The list will be updated based on my travel plans.

Workshop Duration

The workshop duration is of 4 hours; you can select the day & city that you desire from the list above.

Workshop Plan

The workshop has 3 modules, which will cover everything you need to know:

1. THEORY (2 hours)
We will meet 2 hours before the sunset shooting to go through the Theory section of the workshop.
Cityscape & Landscape are rather technical photography genres, so I want to make sure that you have the needed knowledge before the actual shooting session.
We will go through the Photography Fundamentals (Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO), Composition Rules, Gear (sensor sizes, lenses, filters, tripods, etc), Planning (understand where & when to shoot), Long Exposures, and more.

2. SHOOTING (1 – 1.5 hour)
It’s time to put to use all the concept learned during the Theory Session!
We will be shooting during the two most beautiful moments of the day: the Golden Hour and the Blue Hour. This will ensure the best possible shooting conditions.
Our cameras will be ready before the magic happens, so you will be able to shoot with no rush while experimenting. I will be there to guide you and assist you.

3. POST-PROCESSING ELEMENTS (1 hour)
After the shooting session, I will send you within 24h a video of about 40-60min where I am going to edit a picture taken during the workshop with Adobe Lightroom CC 2018; in this way, you will always have access to it for future reference.
I will show you my workflow, starting from the files organization, import, catalogs & folders, main/local adjustments and export settings, explaining to you how I analyze a shot and why I take certain decisions.
Every picture is different, so I never use presets to edit.
I believe every picture is different, so I want to teach you how to use the available tools & your creativity to make every image your own!

EXTRA
Shall you have any question or doubt after the workshop, you can easily get in touch with me via e-mail and I will be happy to help and assist you.
Last but not least, as a workshop participant, you will get a special discount on every course I will release in the future.

Testimonials

Alessandro is a master in the field of photography, and he is THE teacher you would want to engage if you would like to learn how to take stunning and breath-taking photographs.
His workshop is very structured, starting with a detailed presentation on the theoretical aspects of photography and followed by a practical session where he will coach you on how to frame the shot to achieve the best effects.
There was so much to learn in the 4-hour workshop, and it really helps that Alessandro is very approachable as well.
Barry (@barrykhtan)

Attended the Cityscape Workshop by Alessandro and it has been a great learning experience. A good theory lesson at the start to help me understand more about the important fundamentals of photography. Then, we proceed to shoot the Singapore skyline during the blue hour and ended with a presentation on how to further enhance the photo and make it “pop”.
Alessandro is extremely patient and detailed in his teachings and sharing.
You can feel his passion in photography and that is what makes an exceptional photo. Thank you so much once again.

About the Teacher

My name is Alessandro Carpentiero, and I’m a professional Travel & Architectural Photographer from Italy.
I am specialized in creating highly curated images for world leading brands, having shot campaigns for clients such as Huawei, Jaguar, The Ritz-Carlton and many others.
After 4 years of “standard” travels, I decided to leave Italy and start a huge adventure: I am currently traveling full-time to capture the beauty of our planet, living about 1 month in each country I visit.
Why live in the same place if you can live everywhere?

I also have a YouTube channel with plenty of Behind the Scenes; feel free to take a look at the videos to know more about my style and personality.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope to share my knowledge with you soon!
