Hawaii Travel Diary – Day 1: The Travel Day

Hi Everybody,
today it was the travel day.

I’ve never been on a plane for so long (nor took 3 planes in one day), so I’m just a tiny bit tired.
Actually I don’t even know what day is it, or what time is it, so forgive me if I’ll be brief 😀

04:15AM, Milano -2°C alarm clock after 3 hours of sleep.

05:00AM, Milano 0°C arrived at Milano Airport. A long line of people is not really what you wanna see at that hour, but I survived

08:30AM, Paris -4°C pleasant flight with some hot tea and jazz music. At the arrival some part of the plane was iced, so we had to wait several minutes before going out of the plane. It was cold!

10:30AM – 10PM: very long flight from Paris to LA. There were some child screaming all the time so I didn’t get any sleep. Kept myself busy with some photography reading, watching movies, drinking good french wine, eating weird food and making an italian “aperitivo” with an italian couple next to me.

Cool thing, the plane I used for this flight is the world’s largest passenger airliner, the Airbus A380.

10PM- 2.30AM, Los Angeles +20°C: I had to wait some hours for the flight to Maui, so after getting my luggage end entering for the first time on the US soil, I just walked a bit outside the airport, breathing some american air and staying at the warm californa sun.

Welcome to LA!

2.30AM – 8.30AM: Flight over the pacific ocean, from LA to Maui island. I was so tired, but I still coudn’t get any sleep thanks to crying babies 🙂

8.30AM (9.30PM local time), Maui island +21°C: Finally arrived! Felt weird arriving with my winter clothes while the other people was wearing some hawaiian shirt 😀
After a 26 hours trip, it’s finally the time to enjoy the hawaiian welcoming! ALOHA!
